Sorry to hear about the loss of your great loved one.  Sounds like he was a very good man and will be sadly missed.  One thing you have is his memories and that will forever be in your heart and cherished every day.  My prayers are with the family!

Roger was 13 years older than me, so when I was a kid he was like a favorite uncle. When he lived in Riverside, we would often visit, and he loved to go places with my two daughters. He was always good to them, generous even when he couldn't really afford to be.

 

He was also someone that I could talk to - he would listen without making judgements or trying to fix the problem for me. He would empathize, and then offer to help me in any way he could. I could always count on him for that; he was unselfish and would go out of his way to help me. I respected his opinion and counsel, knowing that if I needed help he would be there for me.

 

Roger may not be with us physically, but he has touched so many people -- the memory of his kindness, generosity, and loving spirit will live on. I love you big brother.

 

 

Roger and I became members of the Skokie Police Dept. in 1968.  He became a good friend and was always there to share the good times.  After he left the department we kept in touch over the years and had always hoped to see each other again.  I will miss our chats.

Grandpa always loved me and I know he still does he called me his little helper. I would get every thing for him when he came to kentuky i think last year I oppend doors for him I would also help get his medicain. I love you grandpa. I will always tell zach about you. You are in a better place now you are my favorite angle. When we found out that you died it was 12:05 am i was laying in bed i heard daddy telling mommy and i creid grandpa rest in peace we will always love you and i will keep reading.

It's rare to have a friend who really cared and was always there to help when he could.  We had many talks on the telephone.  With all Rogers health problems, he always had that special fight in him.  He was my friend and I'm a better person today from knowing him.  I will miss him......

Roger was my Father in law for 12 years he was a great person, he loved his family very much. I had a pleasure getting to know such a wonderful person, your grandchildren and your son will miss you as much as I do...

We love you so very much you may be gone but you are never gong to be forgotten your memories will live each and every day in your family memebers and friends whom had the pleasure to know you as well...
